Many people talk about getting some exercise
but they never follow through with it. They just make plans
to do so but most can not find the time to do it. Many
exercise experts recommend trying to exercise at home to get
a start with exercising or getting fit. Exercising at home
can have it advantages and disadvantages.

When we exercise at home, we do not feel conscious about other people
looking at us or how we move. Many first time exercisers do not like to go to
the gym because they feel shy about their bodies or hoe they look. Starting your
exercise regimen at home can get you used to the feeling of exercising without
the need to feel strained due to being around a lot of people. The level of
comfort when we exercise at home is really different compared to exercising at
the gym.
Another advantage of exercising at home is the time you save driving to and
from a gym. Some people hesitate from going to the gym for exercise because the
gym is too far away. When we do home exercises, we do not have to drive far or
even get dressed to go to the gym.
We sometimes exercise at home for the convenience of integrating exercise
with household chores. Cleaning the house or doing the laundry can be integrated
while doing exercises. There are so many creative ways to mix chores and doing
your exercise at home. This can be especially useful when you have a full
schedule of household chores ahead but still want to do some bit of exercise for
your health.
When we say exercising at home, it could also mean taking a walk around the
block several times just to burn off some fats and calories. Staying close to
home while exercising can be advantageous because you can keep an eye on the
house and maybe the kids while you walk around the block. You might also do some
gardening (which is a form of exercise).
You also save money when you exercise at home. Instead of paying high gym
fees, you can save money for some light gym equipment for your home. You can
even get second hand gym equipment for your home exercises.
Although doing your exercise at home has some advantages, some individuals
prefer to exercise at the gym. Doing your exercise at home is a matter of
preference and convenience.
